Smeg is the shortened form, I'm guessing. Dewgirl, it's white cottage-cheese-like crud that forms under the foreskin or in the labia.

Meanwhile, I notice I have posted 1100 new messages (2900 total!) since my post on the first page in mid-august, no doubt due to triple-posts like this. Holy crap. I'll have to have a little digs-party when I hit 3000.

Anyways...
i had a digs moment today...
I was signing my boss's going away card, and I was thinking I'd wish her well in her pregnancy and nearly said something about her "bean."
I changed my mind.

actually, that occurred to me as the thread progressed, and I considered deleting it, but it was just too good to take away

edited to say that with time, the link will change, but it's the "Texas is for lovers" tee-shirt that gave me the giggles.

hehe...

When you're thinking about something you heard, and you can't remember if someone said it to you in person, or whether you know the Digsters so well, that you have little "mental voices" for them when you read posts, and you read it online.

Now that I sound totally psycho...

The things you read are on the boards are usually better than the conversations you have in real life.

And ...*sheepishly* I'm a Red Dwarf Fan...please don't hurt me

In the eyes of the textbook, you're a 'true' digster when your status gets notched up to 'Housemate' as opposed to 'Subletter'...as this post has just made me! Hoorah!

Man, I love your company. I don't even know any of you personally, but I think you're all great (And I sincerely hope the not-knowing-you-thing will change over time)

[Edited to say I lied...this post didn't make me a housemate. I thought it would, but I was wrong]

On the Digs Baby note, I was having a conversation with a friend about the birth of her new twins in June and said 'Wow there have been alot of new babies born since March' Then I realized that most of these babies on my mind where Digs Babies and I spent too much time lurking in the dust thread...

When picking out items from a registry, you pick out the zester FIRST, then decide NOT to buy it, because your cousin isn't worthy.

I guess this might belong in DigsDreams instead of here... but I had a dream last night that I was out shopping and found a ZESTER pot holder. Like, it had embroidered Zesters on it with the word "zester" in script around them. LOL I thought, in my dream, "What a PERFECT item for a package exchange... Too bad this one's feet..."

I do believe it was inspired by reading greshya's post.

HA! Jazzberry, you are a riot!

She sent me a zester! Totally cute.

It's hilarious, and the customs sticker says 'Zester' on it.

I will treasure it always!

You guys are great!

Lemon squares. That's what I bought mine for. I've got a good recipe if you want it--nice and tart and not overly sweet. But you need both juice AND zest, so I recommend a nice heavy reamer too (fun to use and fun to say).

key lime pie If you don't like zest in the actual pie, use it as a garnish on top of a dollop of whipped cream, or put a little in the graham cracker crust.
