The nearest Target to me is right next to a Panera. I love Panera, so I always eat there when I go to Target...or is it that I go to Target when I eat at Panera...?

it's sounds more than normal but i think it's normal sized ... it's in a round building that's a multistory mall... there's random stuff there like a DSW in the basement and a best buy ... you take escalators up to the Target and then inside there's escalators (with shopping cart escalators!) but i find it annoying because half the home stuff is on the first and the other half is on the second so if i forget to look for something and go to the other floor, i gotta go back up or down those escalators.

on another note, i went last night and spent 2 hours in there leaving with $200 worth of Crap I Don't Need. Most from Global Bazaar. Girls, that Bazaar is some serious ish. It's only going to be around till mid next month so definitely check it out. I got the Japanese nesting tables that look like squareish ovals in a walnut finish, tré West Elm, a set of 3 for $99.

again, ladies. you must go. (gents too of course!)

We have one here in New Orleans that has two floors. It's normal size but they built it that way because of lack of space. I mainly stick to the first floor though cause that's where all the good stuff is!

Yah, I just went to the one here that's 2 stories...it's a little annoying, actually. The Global bazaar stuff looked pretty cute but I managed to avoid buing anything. I know what tables you mean...very cute indeed!

I hear you on the West Elm thing. That whole aisle looked like it was ripped from their catalog.

Which is so not a bad thing.

I spent an hour wandering around there looking for bday presents for MIL. Thank God I don't have any room for house stuff (and don't have spare $$ anyway) -- I could've left there with the whole India section, half of Asia, most of Europe, 3/4 of Latin America....

I have to stay away from the "Global" section of Target--I will buy the whole thing!! Although I did buy a budda statue that is super super cool. I also got these black dishes with a subtle black floral pattern on them and a lamp with a pointy shade--*sigh*. I LOVE Target SO MUCH!!!

I dragged the husband in there today, and I wanted everything. I love those black dishes with the cherry-blossom print! And the nesting tables. And everything.

I forced myself to leave with a pair of those comfy velour lounge pants (3rd pair), and a sweater-material bathrobe that was only $3.14. *sigh*

Nire - I love those black plates too! My boyfriend and I were about to buy some with bowls but 1) they cost more than we can afford right now 2) and I was worried about them getting scratched. (the Target website has reviews)

Whenever we went to the double floor Target in Atlanta, we would send the boys (who are 28 yrs. old) to play with the escalators while we got the shopping done.

It usually lasted just long enough for me to fill the cart with tons of stuff I didn't need but couldn't live without. Sigh. I heart Target.

I love target, can't go in there without spending 100 bones, but whatever you do, DO NOT buy the stainless steel trash can with bag clamp!!! It is a piece of junk and I spent $59 on the thing. I wish I had read the reviews on TargEt.com...

SO much great stuff, my head hurt from filling up with so many cute ideas of where I could put everything. If only I had the $$.

I am such a bargain lover, and they recently opened a Target in Brooklyn. I have since been stalking the clearances nearly every day in the early morning. Learning the markdown schedule from employees. So far, I've gotten http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=2-1/qid=1109522633/ref=sr_2_1/601-4335974-5828125?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B0002IKI0M for $14.99 (Mission Nesting Tables $59.99), http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=2-1/qid=1109522651/ref=sr_2_1/601-4335974-5828125?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B0000ZU74O for $32.00 (Natural Amoire $129), http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-4335974-5828125?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B0000ZU7BC for $17.94 (File Cabinet,$69.99)
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-4335974-5828125?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B000086165 for $19.99 (Bamboo Folding Screen), http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-6/qid=1109522729/ref=sr_1_6/601-4335974-5828125?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B000068E7Q for $8 (Country Lane Night Stand) and today I was at the Global Bazaar for the 90% markdown, and no not much was left but I picked up a nutmeg table for $9.99 plus three nutmeg wicker chairs for $3.99 the last ones left, and a wicker $49.99 table for $4.99, some other accessories whatever was left!!! I found some more Global Bazaar in the wrong sections which was GREAT I am totally addicted because I can't wait to fill my house with furniture for these prices. It's really funny and my friends think im crazy that I'm so Target addicted. But I keep finding Clearances that I can't pass up!

This morning, one of the things I found was a Global Bazaar pillow in the Western Passage section, and of course by now there were no pillows left, so I snatched it up and headed for the price scanner - and it was like $2.49 down from $24.99, I got some dumb baskets but I like baskets.... You know this is really getting sick because several times this week I woke up in the middle of the night realizing I was dreaming about things going on sale at Target. I feel like im robbing my local Target, when I see something I like I never buy it full price, always waiting for it to go on sale. When Target first came, I didnt know any better and bought a desk for $79.99, saw it the next week on clearance for $39.99 was so unhappy... I am now stalking the Lavender Luxe collection. I got the Modern Luxe stuff on clearance and now I want the Lavender Luxe, anyone seen it? The bath and bed accessories are on sale at my Target but the picture frames, wall shelves and other parts are not yet. The new Issac Mizrahi furniture looks nice but I wouldnt buy it unless it was on clearance because my boyfriend works at West Elm. After Lavender Luxe and Western Passage goes on final markdown, I won't know what to buy, I hope Target finds some way to tempt me. I hate their clothes!! I bought these Merona sweaters, I washed them once and the collars ripped.

if you buy something and it gets marked down within 2 weeks, you can take your receipt to the customer service desk and they'll give you the difference. i always do that!

Sometimes it doesn't work on clearance items. The people are so dumb at the Brooklyn Target too, I would rather not wait for guest services. The other day, some woman forgot to give me one of many baskets from the Global Bazaar, so I parked my cart with a friend at the cafe and went upstairs and got another one and just walked out with it. I paid for it, not my fault, I couldnt find the woman anywhere and Guest Services was not helping.

Well today, I went back to Target and saw them carting away what was left of Global Bazaar - a few nutmeg tables and one Latin America pillow that was really ugly. I was trying to get a clue about Lavender Luxe's markdown schedule but no one has any idea at my Target what's going on. Didn't stop me from accidentally spending $60 on office supplies and a stupid paper hanging lamp, some dishes, etc before walking out the door. I cant believe what's happening - they put a Target in and then all of a sudden I can't walk in just to get the Swiffer refills I need on sale. I have to run into a deal I can't refuse - every time I walk in.

My facination and covetousness of this collection is completely irrational because I do not have an "outdoors" where I can put these items. However, I really, really want one now. I want to have a backyard with this in it. I'm being irrational, and I don't care. I want a pretty pretty garden and a gazebo and patio furniture, and it's all T@rget's fault.

He's not? I saw that too but didn't think another thing about it..."Oh, Sean Connery's making patio furniture now."
So what DOES it say? I guess I'll check out the link again.

We have a shiny new Target near us - which, Yay! But also - Boo! Because out of their 12 racks of swimsuits - they have 2 one peice suits - the rest are all 2 peice, and TINY 2 peice at that. Plus the Women's clothing dept. apparently now consists of 2 sections - Junior's (which it looks like now means 5 year olds by the size of some of the zippered sweat shirts) and Maternity. WTF? I used to buy from Target's Jr. dept. all the time in college, and while I know I've gained a few lbs since then, I also know there is no way I would have fit into this new stuff back then either. Is this just in my area - or is this afflicting all Target stores?

Nope, mine too - I generally stay away from the clothes section @Target, lest I leave feeling like the most gigungous beast ever to plod across the earth. They do have some plus stuff, but I don't need a plus size, just a little bigger than their tinyass jrs. section.
