I am re-doing our patio right now, and found these lanterns at T.com. They are available "web-only" but I chalked up the extra change for shipping. I can't wait for them to get here!

Another Target web coupon:
10% your entire order!
Enter promotion code TCSEPTSAVE88 at checkout to receive discount.
Expires 10/02/04.
I believe there's also a free shipping special going on right now.
Double-posted in the Coupon thread too.

I get sad when I only come out with groceries. I have to buy myself a magazine or something from the front as a consolation.

And you know you're obsessed when: as I'm typing out this post, outlook pops up with new mail from... target! I'd post the new code but I think Polly has things pretty well covered.

Can I just say that I have Quicken financial-management software and that at one point last year it asked me whether I wanted to automatically schedule that on the second day of each month I would go to T@rget and spend $X? Because apparently I am that consistent.I don't even really like to shop in chain stores, but in this case I make an exception.

I think we should just keep the coupon codes in the coupon thread, so if you see that thread lit up, check there; there's a good chance it's a new T@rget coupon code.

When i saw the Taget Jean thing I emailed it to my jeans obsessed friend and she got them.. and they were HORRIBLE!

The look like paperbag jeans, even though they were supposed to be low slung and fitted, but with some shape to carry her butt. Really, embarrassingly ugly and poorly cut. I think she is going to send them back.

Apparently, my jeans will be delievered today, unless the postal service continues to hold them hostage. They were supposed to arrive yesterday. I sure hope they don't suck.

Our one (and only) Target store opens next Wednesday. I have been waiting for this for almost 8 years.

Well, I got my jeans, and while I don't think they are horrible, I am going to try again with some tweaked measurements. I could wear them and not be embarrased, but I want 'The Perfect Jean'. I think it helps if you know your Mossimo jean size before you start, so go try on a pair at the store first.

Mine fit fine except for the waist, but when you go to re-order, you put in the adjustments (subtract or add up to 3") so I'm not too worried about getting the perfect fit the first time. They fit everywhere else just about perfect, not to snug, not too loose.

On to round 2!

I am very bad. Went in today for Pine-Sol, nail clippers, and curtain rods. Came out with all that plus tissues, a broom, a dust mop head, a bucket, a pizza wheel, pinking shears, measuring tape, an ear wax removal kit, and a scarf. Problem was that I went in with my boy, who then abandoned me to use the restroom. we picked up all the extra stuff wandering around the store looking for each other. At least buying the bucket meant that I didn't have to take home any plastic bags!

WIWBF, do you go to the somerville target? i've never been to that one--is it easy to get to by T, or do you have a car? i've taken the bus to the south boston one, but it's the longest ride ever, through sketchy places, and i waited a good hour for the bus to come on my way home. i'd love to find a more accessible target.

There's one that's not far from Wellington Station on the Orange line, although I think it's actually just over the Somervile/Medford/Everett line. If there are sidewalks, it wouldn't be too long of a walk, probably not more than 20 minutes and don't do it at night!

Upon looking at the maps on the website, the Somerville one isn't near any T stops that I know of. I've driven by it before and always thought that it was a strange place to put a store.

I go to the Everett one fairly often - I could probably be convinced to chauffeur you around...

I went to target tonight to buy an ink cartridge and paper for my printer. I came out with an ink cartridge, paper for my printer and a pair of maternity pants that don't make me look or feel like a fat cow. That's worth going off of the list. I was proud of my self restraint.

If this is the one next to A.J. Wright on Somerville Ave, then nope, no T stops - but you could take the Green Line to Lechmere & hop a bus from there. I can't remember exactly which bus - it's something "via Somerville Ave" - but I used to live down the street & the bus stopped right there at that plaza.

Just saw this Boston area Target tangent today! The Somerville Target on Somerville Ave. next to AJ Wright is just alright. The women's clothing is always overflowing on the racks and many of the other sections are often picked bare. But I can easily walk there.

I wouldn't take the green line to Lechmere. Due to the green line renovation project, you actually have to get off the T at North Station and take a shuttle to Science Park and Lechmere. Total pain in the ass and not supposed to be completed until next summer, by which I mean hopefully before we have grandkids. Although I think three of the Lechmere buses, the 87, 88, and 90, all stop at the plaza.

I would take the orange line to Sullivan Station, then the 86 or the 91 to Target. The bus ride should only take a few minutes, although the buses only run about every 20 minutes at their peak hours, obviously less frequently off-peak. Get off at Washington St. and O'brien Hwy. I think the stop is actually under an overpass. Go left for about a block towards Somerville ave. and you'll be able to see the Target.

Before the Somerville got its very own Target, I journeyed out to the Everett store a couple of times. I seem to remember that it was pretty difficult to get there by foot from the Wellington T, but it was possible. The Everett Target is better than the Somerville one, imho.

As for the rest of you digsters, let me know if you are flying in from out of town. I can totally provide directions to Target from the airport, too

I got to go to a SuperTarget yesterday. Luckily it is about three hours away from my house because I can't imagine how bad my budget would be if I could justify going to Target every week to grocery shop. As it was, I got some new Halloween decorations (on clearance,) a new candle, christmas decorations and new christmas stockings for me and my hubby.

Wow, that is cute, and it actually looks dressy. Most everything for clothing at Tarjay seems to be along the casual line. . .

fowlerjenn, I think they keep most of the nice dressy stuff for online only. There are a lot of really nice dresses that I'm interested in, but it would cost an arm and three legs to have them ship to Canada

I am wearing my Issac Mizrahi zebra courderoy(sp?) skirt to my work Xmas party tonight. First time I have worn it so I am pretty psyched.

I think I may by the dress eventually. They also had a really nice jackie O style jacket http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_14/601-3966731-9924939?%5Fencoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B00068O11U

that went with the dress or a red skirt. I worship Issac Mizrahi for working with Target. I think I may have to write him a letter....

PS - I really need to learn how to make links pretty...

Ahhh Target. The closest one to me is 45 minutes away, so whenever I am near one, I HAVE to stop in. I'm moving next month and I'm thrilled that there is a Target just seconds away.

I bought my bedding there. And my shower curtain. And my curtains. And tablecloth, and towels, and canisters, and storage boxes... Perhaps I was a bit carried away?

The Curves I work out at is in the same plaza as Target. Not a good thing, since I seem to go in there after working out, which is a few times a week. And I don't think I have ever walked out of a Target without buying anything.

OK so when I was in Florida visiting my family I went to Tarjay - it's a pilgrimage in every city I visit. They had the dress in black and I did not like it very much. It was wool and did not look as nice as it did in the picture. They also had the jacket and I was not impressed.

I am going to stock up on next years Christmas stuff that is on sale though.

Okay, weird.

I, too, went to Tar-jay in FL (Hunter's Creek in Kissimmee) and also tried on the jacket and dress, and was not impressed. Well, it's not that I wasn't impressed, but the fabric was so heavy that I didn't think it would ever be cool enough to wear it.

My disapointment did not prevent me from cleaning out the retro Bradford Novelty Co. ornaments aisle. They were just too cool, and at 50% off how could I refuse?

What's the story with Christmas 75% off?

Hi,
I'm new and just found your board. My name is Amy and I'm a Target addict. I've got my red card and everything. I just got a new rewards card that is burning a hole in my pocket and want to apply it to the 75% off clearance, but I'm trying to find out when that is!

In years past, I've been lucky and hound employees until someone will admit it to me. Then I keep track. A few years ago, 75% would always be the day after New Year's Day. Last year, they completely threw me off and it went on New Year's Day! I lost some valuable shopping time!!!

I also was aware of the usual season markdowns in 3 day patterns.

Anyone know the word for this year???

boy and I went shopping for Christmas decorations and a tree for our first married Christmas next year.

We bought the tree at Target for 75% off (well, technically 50% off and then 25% off of that, which isn't exactly the same thing, as P kept adamantly telling me) because it was a display. We just bought a big tupperware type thing too, then disassembled it there at the front of the store, stuck it in the box, and hauled it out the the car. Voila!

and P informed me afterward that he doesn't think we were supposed to get that extra 25% off, and the guy was just confused. oops. But hey, super nice $170 tree for $65!
