I have a VERY expensive pair of jeans that I adore. They're Parasuco's, and they're out of this world cool. Problem? I wore them out one night, and it looks like I sat in a piece of gum. I tried washing them, but the gummy substance won't come off. Anyone know of anything I can do to remove it? It's right on the butt, so it's noticeable. IP: Logged |

"goo be gone" or something with a similar name. check for color-fastness though. I love that stuff. It'll break down the gum. good luck, I love getting stains out. IP: Logged |

Before you use the goo-be-gone, try putting some ice on the gum and scrape as much of it off as you can with a butter knife. IP: Logged |

Try putting a piece of newspaper or regular copy paper on top of the gum and iron over it so that the gum will stick to the paper and off your pants. The iron at a medium setting or if it doesn't work with medium raise the temp. a little higher. Hope it helps! IP: Logged |

I've used Goo Gone (I love that stuff) to remove gum from a pair of chinos. It worked like a charm and didn't leave any sort of residue but if it's a really nice pair of pants, I'd do a spot test somewhere first to make sure it doesn't damage the fabric. IP: Logged |

I completely thought this thread was about pants made from gummy bears, or some other such candy thing. Mmmmmm... gummy pants... Carry on.... IP: Logged |

Peanut butter. Probably some other oil would also work, but that's what Mom always used on gum in hair. IP: Logged |

lighter fluid (like for a cigarette lighter, not the grill). Works every time for me. IP: Logged |

When I saw the title of this thread my mind went instantly to the jelly shoes that I had as a kid and I thought that gummy pants were pants made out of that plastic jelly material!

I'm trying to envision pants made of gummy bears. Or gummy worms for that matter IP: Logged |

I used to have a clear yellow plastic jacket. gorgeous! that thing was hotter than a banshee, let me tell ya. I bet you could make some pants out of that fabric! ew. Would give the term "hotpants" a new meaning. IP: Logged |
