 Vanilla
Cake
This cake, which dresses up a
simple vanilla cake mix, is easy on the eyes and the taste buds. Garnish
with fresh raspberries, blueberries or strawberries, and serve with
vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
ingredients
1 package vanilla
cake mix
2/3 cup water
¼ cup (4 Tablespoons) butter, softened
1 cup sour cream
3 eggs

45 minutes + cooling time
serves 8 |
1.
Preheat oven to 350° .
2.
Grease and flour a 13" x 9" baking pan.

In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, softened butter, sour cream
and eggs.
4.
Beat ingredients on low speed for one minute. When combined, turn mixer
to medium speed and mix for two minutes.
5.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 32 – 38 minutes, until
toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
6. Cool
cake for 20 minutes. Invert the cake onto a cooling rack and cool
completely.
7. When
cooled, place cake on a serving platter and sprinkle with powdered
sugar.
