hey there good cookin' | The kitchen is an odd bit of space that sort of opens up right off the front hallway. Because the hallway continues on both sides of the kitchen itself, the middle of the room is essentially the passageway from one side of the apartment to the other, and putting anything directly in that line of flow feels awkward. Consequently, there’s no room for a full-size dining table. To give ourselves somewhere to sit in the kitchen, we built this small breakfast bar instead, and popped in a couple of stools. >
