Another great snack for your guests is chocolate chip cookies, just like Barbara Bush made for Bush when he was a little Shrub.

Music
Watching television is an essential part of the celebration, but, hopefully, you and your guests won't be glued to the tube all night long. Turn the television down low, turn up the music and cross your fingers for your favorite candidate.

Gore once told the New York Times that his favorite musicians were Thelonius Monk and Miles Davis; he's also expressed his love for the Beatles. On the other hand, Bush told Oprah that his favorite song is "Wake up Little Suzie". Put together a mix of the candidates favorite tunes along with a few patriotic election songs – like Queen's "We are the Champions" and Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA." You should also make sure to have "Ode to Joy" and the "Funeral March" on hand to play when the final votes are cast and the new president is crowned.
