easy
munchables
beyond chips and
pretzels
1 2 3 4

Sure, there are plenty of perfectly edible, ready-to-eat, no-prep munchies available at any supermarket. After all, there’s nothing easier than grabbing a bag of tortilla chips and a jar of pre-made salsa -- and on those evenings when it’s just you and your roommate playing couch potato in front of the TV, store-bought snacks are a totally sensible solution. Crispy potato chips, crunchy pretzels, and my current snack obsession, the delightfully-named Pirate’s Booty, are fine to nibble on when you need a quick fix, but on those occasions where you’ve actually taken the trouble to invite friends to spend time at your humble abode, it’s nice to offer something just a tad more homemade.

These easy-to-prepare appetizers are perfect for movie nights, game nights, that Superbowl gathering you’re hosting this Sunday perhaps – in short, just about any casual gathering where a good spread of hearty snacks is more appropriate than a full meal.
