grog
2 oz. dark rum
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. fresh squeezed lime juice
1 cinnamon stick
2 whole cloves
hot water

Place all yer ingredients in a heat-proof glass or mug (or better yet, a glass mug!) Ye'll be stirring 'til the sugar's mostly dissolved. Add steamin' hot water to top off; stir again. Enjoy, matey!

captain's blood
2 oz. dark rum
3/4 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters
garnish: lemon twist

Pour all yer ingredients except the garnish into a cocktail shaker o'er plenty o' ice. Shake 'til yer hand's near ready to freeze off. Strain into a cocktail glass, and garnish with a twist o' lemon. Bottoms up, Cap'n!

planter's punch
2 oz. dark rum
1 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 Tbsp. not-from concentrate orange juice
1 tsp. simple syrup
garnish: cherry, orange slice

Fer this brew, ye'll be addin' all yer (non-garnish) ingredients to a cocktail shaker wi' plenty o' ice. Shake 'till icy cold, aye. Strain into an old-fashioned glass o'er ice. For ye garnish, spear a cherry and orange slice with a toothpick. Now drink up, me hearties!

pirate cocktail
1½ oz. dark rum
½ oz. sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
garnish: maraschino cherry

Add all ye ingredients (exceptin' the garnish o' course) to a cocktail shaker, an' shake w' plenty of ice. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with a bounty o' ice. Drop in a cherry an' enjoy. Shiver me timbers!
